about Frankie B

Background

Frankie B is a self-taught contemporary artist from Newry, Northern Ireland, with a background in BA (Hons) Textiles and Fashion Design from the University of Ulster, Belfast. Creating since childhood, Frankie began painting in acrylics before moving into oils, a medium that now defines her practice. Her work blends technical exploration with a deep connection to the local landscape and a personal sense of place.

Practice and Public Work

In 2019, Frankie founded Art Studio 23, Northern Ireland’s first Paint & Sip studio, which has since become a thriving creative hub for thousands of people. Alongside community workshops and large-scale events, Frankie has created bespoke murals, street art, and private commissions for clients worldwide. Her work has been shipped globally to the USA, Australia, the UK, and Ireland.

Collaborations & Exhibitions

Notable collaborations include a hand-painted whiskey bottle series with Two Stacks Irish Whiskey, which sold out instantly and is now considered a collectors’ edition.

The Magic of the Mournes marks Frankie’s first solo exhibition. A homecoming body of work celebrating the landscapes that shaped her childhood and continue to inspire her creative practice.
